Arusha national park

Arusha national park:

This is where beauty, serenity, and calmness meet together. Arusha national park is located in the north-eastern part of Tanzania. This park is known to be among the first protected areas in the country since the colonial era of the 1960s.

John Wayne’s Hatari feature film was shot in this park, which is home to the volcanic Mount Meru, towering over 4,500 meters above sea level.

Home to bushlands and montane forests, the park has a large diversity of wildlife like Colobus and blue monkeys, birds, antelopes, giraffes, etc. You can take a ride on a canoe at Lake Momella and have a fantastic bird-watching experience or take a horse safari inside that park.

You can choose to lodge inside the park from a variety of resorts that offer quiet and pristine environments in this calm and secluded national park. Many visitors choose to climb mount Meru as acclimatization and preparation to ascend the adjacent highest mountain in Africa: Mount Kilimanjaro.
