Lake Manyara

Overview

Lake Manyara: The land that was sculptured into the Great Rift Valley.

Together with freshwater springs that usher water into the park, this beautiful protected area is a magnet for both resident and migratory birds that come to the park(127.4 square miles) to forage and breed. Not only that, many water-friendly animals like hippos and waterbucks, elephants, etc, find this place to be a fruitful habitat. More than 400 bird species are known to occur in the Park.

The Manyara is located within the Great rift valley that stretches almost 6,000 kilometers from Lebanon to Mozambique. View magnificent geological structures and physical features that are bound to baffle you such as the rift valley wall, artistic natural rock placements, and Majimoto volcanic hot water springs. To crown it all, antelopes, tree-climbing lions, giraffes, buffalos, and huge African elephants.

Visit the Tree-top 18 meter high boardwalk that allows you to view the forest from high up on the tree canopies on a suspended boardwalk.
