Overview
Lake Natron is a rich alkaline lake located in the northeastern part of Tanzania. It was formed by volcanic activities that describe the active vulcanicity features such as Mount Ol’donyo Lengai, craters, and valleys. The alkaline nature of this lake supports the growth of blue-green algae, which is food for pink flamingo that migrate to this place to during certain seasons of the year. This place also has many archaeological findings and numerous cultural experiences.

June to August are the coolest months. If you are interested in walking, the dry season is better, with most of the water evaporated, causing beautiful colors of salt residue and substrates.
