Overview
Marangu is a district in the Kilimanjaro region in Tanzania. This is a prime area to experience Chagga tribe culture and the nature on the cultivation zone on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. One of the ascent gates to Uhuru peak starts in Marangu. There is a rich history dating back to pre-colonial times, with ruins of tribal caves and age-old local organic coffee processing.
