Ngorongoro

Overview

Ngorongoro crater:

The world’s only intact crater that habitats countless wildlife all year round.
The Ngorongoro Crater is teeming with game, birds, and plants which are all found inside one wondrous extinct and intact volcanic caldera. More than 600 meters deep and a diameter of 28 kilometers, this place will leave you gobsmacked and totally in awe of the expanse and majesty of creation.

Ngorongoro Crater is a prime spot for viewing Africa’s Big five game i.e. the Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Elephant, and the magnificent Black Rhino. Meet the famous local tribe of Maasai and get a first-hand experience of their culture and traditions at the local Maasai villages (Bomas) or buy some souvenirs at the local Maasai village market.

The Ngorongoro is the only protected area in the world that uses multiple land-use plans that allows human beings to co-exist with wildlife; notably, the ancient Maasai tribe that have harmoniously lived here for so many years.
