Overview
Tarangire national park:
This is the home of the African elephant and the mysterious Baobab tree. This park is prominently made of savanna bushlands with rich riverine vegetation centered on the Tarangire River. Its name comes from the Tarangire river(Maasai origin) which is a source of water for many organisms, especially during the dry season, attracting many wildlife species towards it. This in turn provides a spectacle for game viewing. With its mixture of black cotton soil, the park is world-famous for its high density of Baobab trees.
